The Extensibility Challenge was a contest sponsored by Nextel and RIM, the manufacturer of the BlackBerry, open to software developers worldwide to see who could create the most unique, yet useful software product for use on the BlackBerry. At the time, RJR Technology had been contracted to develop an entire suite of products for one of the nation's largest remodeling firms, and developed the concept for a new product, the Mobile Management Console, or MMC for use by organizations in any industry in order to allow them to quickly extend corporate data to the BlackBerry in a simple report format.
